It’s hard to miss Patrick’s Roadhouse when driving down Pacific Coast Highway with its bright-green exterior adorned with dinosaurs and kitschy sculptures on the roof. Founded by Bill Fischler in 1973, the iconic diner has been a staple for many locals and celebrities alike including Lucille Ball, Johnny Carson, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Golden Hawn and more. Shane Tanner, the son of a legendary cooler named Dalton, learns that his uncle Nate got beat up by a group of men because he doesn't want to sell his bar, The Black Pelican, to a bunch of drug dealers. To help out his uncle, Shane teams up with local school teacher Beau Hampton, who is a regular at the Black Pelican, and takes down the baddies. They called 911 immediately, but deputies were not able to reach the Lakewood Drive home in time to catch the suspects.

Like me, “Road House 2” director Scott Ziehl also knew what he was getting into. The only way for Ziehl to even compete with Rowdy Herrington’s “Road House” was by drastically upping the stakes, and he wastes exactly zero time doing so. While the movie is not without its flaws, including some clunky dialogue and a few cringe-worthy moments, it is a fun and entertaining ride from start to finish. Director Scott Ziehl keeps the pacing brisk and the action coming, never allowing the movie to drag or become dull. The Louisiana setting also adds a unique flavor to the movie, with the bar and its patrons feeling like authentic characters in their own right. With the help of his old flame and fellow bouncer, Beau (Ellen Hollman), Shane sets out to protect his family's legacy and take down Wild Bill and his gang of thugs.

Shane decides to stay in Nate's house and run the Black Pelican in Nate's absence, much to the dismay of Wild Bill. The location is best for drug-running, as the Black Pelican is close to the border. However, like his uncle, Shane refuses to sell the bar and damages the numerous thugs that Wild Bill sends his way. D.E.A. agent Shane Tanner is the son of a legendary cooler named James Dalton (played by Patrick Swayze in the original film).

Nate Tanner is Shane's uncle, and the owner of the Black Pelican, a bar located in Nate's new permanent home of Tyree, Louisiana. Nate gets a call from his rival, who is nicknamed "Wild Bill", the former Black Pelican cooler who has been trying to steal it from Nate. Road House 2 is a 2006 American direct-to-video action film directed by Scott Ziehl. Johnathon Schaech stars as a bouncer who must protect a Louisiana bar from criminals. Cut to the girl’s surviving brother, now an orphan being raised over the years in the art of punch-stab-and-kick vengeance by a wild-eyed shaman whom action aficionados will recognize as Yayan Ruhian from the legendary “Raid” movies. In the Family Guy season 8 episode "Brian's Got a Brand New Bag", Peter Griffin purchases a DVD copy of Road House for a dollar at a closing video store.
Dalton was shot by new Brad Wesley’s (Richard Norton) underling Wild Bill (Jake Busey); the bullet was intended for Shane, who is about to get that information served up with a heaping side of revenge. There are several actions that could trigger this block including submitting a certain word or phrase, a SQL command or malformed data. It is revealed that Victor had wanted Shane dead for a drug bust he did on Victor long ago as a state trooper.

Per ScreenRant, Road House 2 wasn’t always meant to feature none of the talent from its predecessor. Schaech, along with costars Jake Busey (son of Gary Busey) as Bill "Wild Bill" Decarie and Patton, “kick action into high gear,” as the Road House 2 trailer teases. Actor and martial artist Richard Norton plays the story’s seedy antagonist Victor Cross, while Ellen Hollman kicks butt as the sultry Beau Hampton.
The response following news of the closure has been widespread, with support coming in from locals and tourists alike who all have special memories at the diner. However, despite its storied legacy, the diner was not spared during the COVID-19 pandemic and has struggled to recuperate the rent that was owed during the forced closure of dining rooms. A GoFundMe campaign hopes to raise enough money to pay the back rent owed from that time. April is Autism Acceptance and Awareness Month and Culver City-based nonprofit “Jazz Hands for Autism’ is bringing the gift of music as a way to bridge the gap between the autism community and the rest of the world. As the climax with a helmeted assassin (Jessica Rothe) draws near, there is one admirably unforeseen twist up the film’s blood-smeared sleeve.
Maglio joined a chorus of critics whose reviews upon the movie’s 2006 release can mostly be classified as pans. Critic Scott Weinberg, writing for DVDTalk.com at the time, called the “mindless, silly mess” of a sequel “a pretty stupid expenditure of 84 minutes.” He added, however, that Schaech was a “not-too-shabby B-movie hero” and praised Hollman’s athleticism as a fighter. To rid Louisiana of Victor, Wild Bill, and their organization, Shane teams up with local school teacher Beau Hampton and Wild Bill's cousin, who has a military background. In the end, Victor is badly beaten and left at Beau's house and Wild Bill is impaled by the symbolic black pelican at the bar.

The Fischler family said Patrick’s Roadhouse has been operating profitably for most of its over half-century existence. “Patrick’s Roadhouse is a jewel of the neighborhood, the Westside neighborhood,” said Kurt Benjamin, a local resident and organizer of the GoFundMe campaign. Thousands gathered to honor and celebrate the life of beloved Los Angeles pastor Rev. Dr. Cecil ‘Chip’ Murray on Friday, April 26. The Los Angeles Police Department issued a city-wide tactical alert in response to a disturbance at the University of Southern California campus Saturday night.
A small subplot involves Shane still looking for the murderer who killed his father, the legendary Dalton, many years ago when Shane arrived home from work (Shane was a rookie Louisiana state trooper). After Dalton's murder, Shane left town and joined the DEA as a field agent. Now, Wild Bill's boss, Miami crime syndicate kingpin Victor Cross, decides that it is time to handle matters personally, since Wild Bill's men have not been doing a good job of taking care of Shane. Shane is soon faced with impossible odds and a low number of staff members at the Black Pelican.
Baltimore County officials said firefighters were called to a two-alarm house fire and explosion on Crafton Road just after 11 p.m. Wesley's nephew Pat, who is one of the fired employees, intimidates Tilghman into giving him his job back and attacks Dalton, who badly injures Pat and his accomplices. Receiving a knife wound in the process, Dalton visits a hospital and befriends Dr. Elizabeth Clay to whom Wesley is also attracted.
